Dr. Michael Zimmerman- Pastor

Mike Zimmerman has been Pastor of First Baptist since February of 1992.  Mike originally came to First Baptist as the Associate Pastor in 1990. He began his ministry in 1976 in Rosenberg, Texas, as Assistant Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Simultaneously, his wife Julia began her career of putting Mike through school as he attended and graduated from Wharton County Junior College, Houston Baptist University, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Mike has pastored churches in Van Vleck, Ganado, and Schulenburg, Texas. Mike and Julia enjoy their home in the country a few miles outside of Bay City.

Jamon Speed- Minister of Children & Education

Jamon came to First Baptist in 2000 after graduating from East Texas Baptist University.  It was in Bay City where he met his wife, Blake.  They have two sons, Logan and Mason.

Cody Burris- Minister of Students & Outreach

Cody grew up in East Texas and has been a Christian now for ten years.  Cody graduated from East Texas Baptist University.  There he met his wife Lariesa whom he has been married to for almost 6 years.  Cody has two wonderful children Gavin Isaiah and Elijah Ryan.  Cody's vision for the Student Ministries of FBC is driven by his desire to equip every youth/parent with a Biblical Worldview and to develop leadership.
